Dimethyl Disulfide

Dimethyl disulfide is a widely used sulfur-containing organic compound used in the petroleum industry as a vulcanizing agent in the hydrodesulfurization of naphtha, gasoline, and kerosene, as an activator in the pre-vulcanization process of hydrotreating and hydrocracking catalysts, and as an inhibitor of hydrogenation in the benzene hydroxyl reaction. In the rubber industry, it can be used as a solvent, regenerant, softener, plasticizer, etc.
